On Saturday, June 8, we will be dedicating the Quarry Trail here at Morrow Mountain State Park as a Kids In Parks trail.

We will be establishing a new trailhead display. That trailhead display will house four brochures for fun activities that children can do while hiking the trail. The goal of the Kids In Parks trails is to get children out of the house and to reconnect with nature in an easy way which is both kid and parent friendly.

June 8 is also the National Get Outdoors Day and we will be advertising the dedication and associated hikes as Get Outdoors Day activities.

• 10:00 am - Recognition of VIP's and then a ribbon cutting and unveiling of the new display and brochures.
• 10:15 am - Refreshments served
• 10:30 am - Hikes Begin
