'The Old Cemetery Marker' by Mike O'Neill

On the morning of February 16th, 2008 the Stony Hill Methodist Men cleaned up the "old cemetery" located on the Gene Kirk family land adjacent to the church property (the Ross family owned the land prior to the Kirk family purchasing the property). It is believed that this cemetery is over 200 years old. (there were several graves marked with only a slate rock turned up vertical in the ground. Only one grave had a marble tombstone engraved with "Williamson Ross" Mr. Ross was born in 1759 and died in 1840. He served in the "Revolutionary War" (see engraving on the tombstone)
